Internal thread and thread undercut
The machining operation consists of two steps. The
Undercut DIN

cycle machines the undercut and thread chamfer. The
thread
cycle
then cuts the thread.
1st step
The parameters for the undercut and thread chamfer can be
programmed in two superimposed input windows.
The control determines the undercut parameters from the standard
table.
For the thread chamfer, you only need to enter the chamfer width.
The angle of 45° is the default value for the
Cut-in angle

.
Tool data:
Turning tool (for internal machining)
TO
= 7 – Tool orientation
A
= 93° – Tool angle
B
= 55° – Point angle
2nd step
The
thread cycle (longitudinal)
cuts the thread. The thread pitch
is defined. The control automatically determines all other values
from the standard table.
You must pay attention to the setting of the
Inner thread
soft key.
