Low Voltage Wiring
Temperature Sensors
The OmniPL utilizes
10K ohm thermistor
type sensors and pro-
vides four inputs. If the
OmniPL is being used
to control a solar heat-
ing system, the solar
sensor is required. If
dual equipment will be
used, the dual equip-
ment spa sensor is
required. If both solar
and dual equipment are desired, another temperature sensor must be purchased separately. The
sensors are provided with a 15 ft. cable. If a longer cable is required, contact the Hayward service
dept. (908-355-7995) for information on suitable cable types and splices. Sensor wire connections
are shown below. Record all connections using the table on page 16.
Controller
The Controller has a 15 ft cable with a connector that plugs into the designated connector as shown
on page 14. There are rubber plugs covering USB
port and Ethernet port on the bottom of the Con-
troller enclosure. The Ethernet port is available if a
wired connection to the access point is desired over
the built-in wifi. The USB port is used for firmware
upgrades.
Low Speed Bus Jumper
The large low speed (LS) bus connector shown
on page 14 is used for communication to various
equipment like variable speed pumps, Smart Relays,
and more. The connector can accommodate mul-
tiple connections but if more capacity is needed, a
jumper can be made using Wago lever nuts or stan-
dard electrical wire nuts as shown. Use a jumper if
you have difficulty making multiple connections at
the Low Speed Bus connector.
