On the

HI 6500 series instrument display

, select the Operations menu and use the UP or

DOWN button to select the Tare Operations submenu, then select the Tare Amount menu
item. The current value will be displayed, press the ENTER or the RIGHT button if this
value needs to be modified.

Tare Offset Parameter

The value you enter for Tare Offset allows the user to avoid pushing the Tare button each
time he/she places an empty container on the scale.

RANGE: .000001 - 999999. (default 0.0)

On the

Web page

, under the Operation menu enter the value in the editable text box

provided next to Tare Offset.

On the

HI 6500 series instrument display
