Using SNMP

This chapter provides information required to manage the Makito

X through the

Simple

Network Management Protocol (SNMP). SNMP-based management uses Network
Management Stations (NMSs) to collect data or configure devices (SNMP agents) across
an IP network.

Audience

This chapter is intended for users who are familiar with SNMP-based management and
who

will be developing applications such as provisioning services, or creating and

modifying existing network management systems to manage the Makito

X.
