the LAN interface of router.
L5: L5 as shown in the figure is the power line; power line shall be arranged strictly according to
network 1 or network 2. In network 1, the indoor units and outdoor units in one system share one electric
meter. In network 2, all indoor units in one system share one electric meter and all outdoor units share
one electric meter.
Notice:
1) In one CAN2 network, a maximum of 16 air conditioning systems and 255 IDUs are allowed. If
exceeded, the CAN2 network should be divided into two.
2) One gateway can be connected to only one CAN2 network.
3) One VRF monitoring system can be connected to 16 gateways in maximum.
4) The way of communication among units and gateway is the same with network 3 (without billing
function, disconnecting electric meter).

2.2 Gateway
2.2.1 Functions
Long-distance monitor gateway converts CAN, RS485 bus data into TCP/IP and communicate with
Ethernet through common router, so as to achieve central monitoring, billing, error reminding functions.
