Profiles and Print Queues
What is a Profile?
A profile is a set of values, or system configuration parameters, that are
entered into the printer’s operating system from the keyboard. A profile
allows the printer to communicate effectively with the FusionPunch II and
its stacker (or multiple stackers). Each model of printer has its own
unique profile. For example, the profile for a DocuTech 135 is different
than the profile for a DocuTech 6100.
What is a Print Queue?
A Print Queue is also a set of values, or system configuration parameters,
that communicates input and output information from the printer to a
finishing device. The FusionPunch II is a finishing device.
System Access for Setup
Profile and Print Queue configuration is performed at the same time and
is normally the responsibility of the System Administrator. The following
information is provided for use by the System Administrator for the
purpose of creating profiles and print queues for the system.
