A vertical line sometimes appears at the splice point when MM fibers
or dissimilar fibers (different diameters) are spliced. This does not
affect splice quality, such as splice loss or tensile strength.
A loss becomes high when the following errors occur.
Electric discharge may become unstable when usage environment
changes significantly. In such a case, please use it after performing
“Stabilize Electrodes”.
When SET key has been
pushed, "Stabilize
Electrodes" is performed.
Please perform an "Arc
Calibration" after the end
of "Stabilize Electrodes"
according to the directions
on a screen.
