NOTE: 1. Do Not Adjust RF Frequency Bands 1-9 unless the proce-
dure below does not check out.
2. To obtain access to the band being adjusted, it may be
necessary to remove other bands from the RF Tuner.
3. The RF Tuner contacts pins are numbered 1-30 from left
to right when viewed from the front panel.
4. All adjustments are done with the receiver in the "UN-
CAL" mode.
5. For RF Frequency Ranges 1-9:
LO Oscillator adjustments: opposite contact pins
22-30.
RF Amplifier adjustments: opposite contact pins 8-
22.
RF Input adjustments: opposite contact pins 1-
7.
a. Set the front panel controls as follows:
DETECTOR ...................................................PEAK
BANDWIDTH ...............................................NARROWEST position of the fre-
quency range selected.
ATTENUATION ...........................................40 dB
FREQUENCY RANGE .................................0.009-0.035 MHz
SAMPLE TIME CONTROL .........................Mid-range
b. Tune through RF Frequency Range 1. Verify that the front panel Frequency Dis-
play covers the stated frequency range.
"Only" when the RF Frequency band
does not meet the "stated specification limits" should the following procedure
be performed.
1) Set the Main Tuning Control FULL CCW.
2) The front panel Frequency Display should indicate the low end point of RF
Frequency Band 1 (0.009 MHz). If not, refer to Table 4.6 and adjust the compo-
nent listed under the "Low" column for "Frequency Adjustments".
