b. FM
The FM Audio signal is the amplified discriminator output. Nominal output is 100
mW into 600

NOTE:
In Slideback, the output of the Threshold Detector is heard
in the earphones.
c. BFO
The BFO circuit is turned on for aural identification of CW signals. The tone in
the earphones will decrease in frequency as the peak of the tuned input signal ap-
proaches and produce a zero-beat at the center frequency of the signal peak.

A-10.2 Audio Volume Control

A-11.0 Local Switch
Type:
Momentary pushbutton switch.
Indicator:
None.
Function:
To select the Local mode of receiver operation. A separate Remote in-
dicator (LED) is activated when the Remote mode of operation is selected. The
Remote Mode can only be selected thru a GPIB BUS Command.
NOTE:
The receiver can be locked into the Remote mode when the
computer issues a Local Lockout command through the
GPIB Interface Bus. Under these conditions, pushing the
Local Switch will have no effect. The computer must issue a
command to return the receiver to the Local mode of oper-
ation.
