EM-2115 3.0 PERFORMANCE CHECK
(EM2115S3-9)
e.
This level is the impulse sensitivity at the test frequency and frequency range se-
lected. Sensitivity specifications may be obtained from Section I Table 1.1.
f.
Repeat Steps b thru e for the remaining two test frequencies in Frequency Range 1
(0.009-0.035 MHz).
g.
Repeat Steps b thru e for the three frequency test points in Frequency Ranges 2-15
(0.035-1000 MHz).
3.4.7 Bandwidth (6 dB)
Specification: Refer to Section I Table 1.1 EM-2115 Specifications.
Equipment required: Signal Generator
Digital Voltmeter
a.
Set the front panel controls as follows:
DETECTOR ...................................................AVERAGE
SAMPLE TIME Control ................................Mid-range.
FREQUENCY RANGE .................................0.070-0.150 MHz.
FREQUENCY INDICATION .......................0.100 MHz.
BANDWIDTH ...............................................200 Hz.
ATTENUATION ...........................................40 dB
b.
Connect the Digital Voltmeter between the center conductor (positive lead) of the
rear panel Vertical Output BNC Connector (A13J9) and ground (negative lead).
c.
Apply a 0.100 MHz CW signal at an input level of +40 dB(µV) to the EM-2115
Input Connector. Peak the signal for a maximum indication on the front panel ana-
log meter. Calibrate the receiver, the digital meter should read +40 dB(µV) ±2.0
dB.
d.
Record the Digital Voltmeter indication to three decimal places (X.XXX), this is
the reference voltage point for the following procedure.
e.
Increase the Signal Generator signal output level by 6 dB. Next, increase the fre-
quency of the Signal Generator until the Digital Voltmeter again indicates the ref-
erence voltage ±0.005 VDC. Note the frequency of the Signal Generator at this
point.
f.
Decrease the frequency of the Signal Generator until the Digital Voltmeter again
indicates the reference voltage ±0.005 VDC. Note the frequency of the Signal
Generator at listed in the following table.
