If the EM-3379 IBM AT Compatible software is purchased, the computer must
have the following:
1) 40 MB Hard Drive,
2) 1 MB of memory minimum,
3) VGA Graphics Card,
4) VGA Graphics Color Monitor,
5) MICROSOFT DOS VERSION 4.1 or higher,
6) SCIENTIFIC SOLUTIONS IEEE-488 INTERFACE Board.
b. Additional Software Packages
Additional software packages and programs are available for MIL-STD testing,
FCC/VDE testing, plus other military, government, and commerical (both domestic and interna-
tional) standards testing. Contact Electro-Metrics for availability and price.
2.6 External X-Y Recorder Operation
The EM-2115 can be used with either a single or dual pen X-Y recorder. All connnec-
tions to the X-Y recorder are thru the 11 pin Plotter Connector (A13J3) on the rear panel.
2.6.1 EM-2115/X-Y Recorder Calibration
NOTE: For the following procedure it is assumed that the controls of
the X-Y recorder have been adjusted for normal operating con-
ditions.
a. Set the EM-2135 front panel controls as follows:
SCAN MODE ................................................MANUAL
DETECTOR ...................................................SLIDEBACK
THRESHOLD Control ...................................FULL CCW
FINE TUNE Control ......................................Mechanical center
AFC Control...................................................OFF
ATTENUATION ...........................................0 dB
b. With the EM-2115 tuned to the low frequency end of the frequency range select-
ed, adjust the X-ZERO Control of the recorder to position the recorder pen over
the left hand margin of the chart paper.
c. Tune the EM-2115 to the high frequency end of the frequency range selected. Ad-
just the X-GAIN Control of the recorder to position the recorder pen over the right
hand margin of the chart paper.
d. Repeat Steps b & c until no further adjustments are required.
