Place the Detector Board (A8) onto the 36 pin double-sided extension board and
connect a Digital Voltmeter to A8-16.

Set the front panel controls as follows:

ATTENUATION ...........................................0 dB
FREQUENCY RANGE .................................0.009-0.035 MHz.
FREQUENCY DISPLAY ..............................0.022 MHz

Remove the subminiature coaxial cable from A6J3. Connect a Signal Generator
via a 10 dB Step Attenuator to A6J3. Set the Signal Generator for a 175 kHz cw
signal with an input level of +98 dB(µV) at A6J3.
f.
The Digital Voltmeter monitoring the voltage on A8-70 should indicate +1.50
VDC ±0.10 VDC. If not, adjust A6-R59.
g.
Set the Bandwidth to the Wideband position of the Frequency Range selected. The
Digital Voltmeter should in1.50 ±0.10 VDC. If not, adjust A6-R48.
h.
Repeat Steps f and g until no further adjustments are required.
i.
Remove the subminiature coaxial cable from A6J2. Connect a Signal Generator
via a 10 dB Step Attenuator to A6J2. Set the Signal Generator for a 1.6 kHz cw
signal with an input level of +97 dB(µV) at A6J2.
j.
Set The Frequency Range to 2.4-5.5 MHz (8) and the 0.1 Narrowband position of
the Frequency Range selected.
k.
The Digital Voltmeter monitoring the voltage on A8-70 should indicate +1.50
VDC ±0.10 VDC. If not, adjust A6-R37.
l.
Set the Bandwidth to the Wideband position of the frequency range selected. The
Digital Voltmeter should in1.50 ±0.10 VDC. If not, adjust A6-R26.
m.
Repeat Steps k and l until no further adjustments are required.
n.
Remove the subminiature coaxial cable from A6J1. Connect a Signal Generator
via a 10 dB Step Attenuator to A6J1. Set the Signal Generator for a 8.7 kHz cw
signal with an input level of +91 dB(µV) at A6J1.
o.
Set the Frequency Range to 20-45 MHz (11) and the 0.1 Narrowband position of
the Frequency Range selected.
