Open Shortest Path First (OSPFv3)

General Configuration
router ipv6 ospf
This command creates an Open Shortest Path First (OSPFv3) routing process and
enters router configuration mode. Use the
no
form to disable OSPF for all processes
or for a specified process.
Syntax

process-name
- A process name must be entered when configuring multiple
routing instances. (Range: Alphanumeric string up to 16 characters)

Command Usage

This command is used to enable an OSPFv3 routing process, and to enter router
configuration mode.
◆
The
process-name
is only used on the local router to distinguish between
different routing processes. It should not be confused with the
instance-id
configured with the
command which is used to
distinguish between different routing processes running on the same link-local
network segment.
