Chapter 3 Repairs
1. Remove the Mixolab's left and right-hand covers (see op. 1-1) .
2. Unscrew the wired thermocouple's connector then disconnect
the connector from the sensor (
A ).
3. Loosen and remove the Nylstop locknut ( B ) (1) then loosen the
thermocouple's locking nut ( B ) (2).
4. Using flat pliers, pull the thermocouple to extract it from the
white plastic plate (
C ).
Note: On the old Mixolab, remove the thermocouple by loosening
the thermocouple's only locking nut then pulling it with flat pli-
ers.
Note: To replace the thermocouple's support, loosen its locking nut
then unscrew the thermocouple support from the white plas-
tic plate. Install the new thermocouple support by screwing it
onto the white plastic plate then screw the locking nut onto
the support (without fully tightening it).
5. Format the new thermocouple so that its shape is identical to
the old one.
6. Thread the Nylstop locknut onto the new thermocouple.
7. Place the new thermocouple in its housing so that it protrudes
5 mm inside the bowl (

8. Tighten moderately the thermocouple's locking nut then
tighten the Nylstop locknut.
9. Connect the new sensor's connector then fix the assembly to
the frame.
10. Calibrate the thermocouple (see op. 12-2) .
11. Replace the Mixolab's left and right-hand covers (see op. 1-1) .
