Staple-collate Functions
The function automatically collates copies into page order.
Collate Mode
This function shifts forward only the first copy of each page of the document, then sorts the copies of
each page and delivers them.
Group Mode
This function automatically collates copies into sets in page order, staples the sets and outputs them.

You cannot use the Transparency Interleaving mode in combination with the Collate function, Group
function or Staple-collate function.

When the delivered printing paper reaches the stacking limit of the finishing and output trays, printing stops.
By removing all printed papers from the finishing and output trays, the printing restarts.

When copying tracing papers, and the stacking limit of the finishing tray is reached printing stops. Remove all
tracing papers from the finishing tray and pressing the
Start
key to restart printing.

If the machine stops during collating, a message is displayed in the touch panel display, and the Staple
Supply indicator lights while stapling is taking place, it means that almost all of the staples have been used
up and the staple case must be replaced. Replace the staple case in this case. (See "Replacing the Staple
Case in the Stapler Unit", on p7-38.)
CAUTION

Do not place your hand in the part of the tray where stapling is performed while a Finisher is attached, as this may
result in personal injury.
Staple-collate Functions

Copies made on STMTR size paper, will not be shifted forward and backward by group, but will be output
with all copies aligned.

The first copy of each page copied on STMTR size paper will not be shifted forward, but all pages will be
output aligned.
