The vertical scroll bar is active. The scroll box fills about
one third of the available space, indicating that there is more
information.

The horizontal scroll bar is inactive. The scroll box fills the bar,
indicating that complete information is displayed.
When scroll bars are active, you can click the mouse button to move the
display one line at a time or one page (the size of the box) at a time. You
can view information from any position in the list by dragging the mouse
pointer.
Using the Mouse to Scroll
To view one line at a time:

Move the pointer to the arrow at the top or bottom of the scroll
bar.

Click the mouse button.
From the top arrow, the display moves up one line. From the bottom
arrow, it moves down one line.
To view one page at a time:

Move the pointer to the scroll bar above or below the vertical
scroll box or to the left or right of the horizontal scroll box.

Click the mouse button.
The list displays according to the location of the pointer. For
example, if you place the pointer below the vertical scroll box, the
display moves down one page.
To scroll through the display:

Move the pointer to the scroll box.

Hold the left mouse button.
The list moves as long as you hold the mouse button.

Release the mouse button when you reach the position you want.
Using Arrow Keys to Scroll
You can use the
or
arrow keys to scroll through a list or message
box. If you click an arrow key, the display moves one line at a time. If you
hold an arrow key, the display scrolls.
