indicates that authentication
is turned off and that all RIP packets are accepted.
rip_default_route
allows an Annex to advertise that it is the default router. You can enter a
number from 1 to 15 to indicate the hop count that will be advertised.
Entering
0
turns off the advertisement.
rip_horizon
controls the split horizon algorithm for RIP. You can enter:

to disable split horizon.

split
to enable split horizon without poison. Split horizon
prevents a route from being advertised over the interface on
which it was learned.

poison
to enable split horizon with poison reverse. Poison
reverse advertises the route over the interface on which it was
learned, but sets the hop count to 16.
