WARNING!
•
Make sure that accessories such as
the trailer hitch and safety chain are
properly connected and securely
installed.
•
Make sure that all loaded cargos are
firmly secured and evenly distributed.
Failure to do so may lead to traffic
accidents, vehicle damage and
personal injury.
•
When towing a trailer or loading
cargo, please reduce speed and avoid
sharp turning or sudden braking, as
this may lead to traffic accidents,
vehicle damage and personal injury.
CAUTION!
•
Do not tow a trailer with its cargo
combined weight above the trailer
hitch towing capacity.
•
Vehicle loading capacity should be
met when a trailer hitch is used to tow
a trailer or load cargo.
•
A trailer towed or cargo loaded may
obstruct your field of vision. Adjust
the rear view and side mirrors for an
improved view.
•
Maintain a longer distance from
vehicles ahead when towing a trailer
or loading cargo.
•
The vehicle becomes longer when
towing a trailer or loading cargo.
Therefore wider turns must be taken
to prevent the towed cargo from
hitting kerbs, road signs, trees or
other objects.
•
Do not park the vehicle on a slope
when towing a trailer or loading
cargo.
REMINDER
•
Whenever the installation of a
trailer hitch is necessary, visit a BYD
authorised dealer or service provider.
•
Follow local laws and regulations for
installation of the trailer hitch.
•
Park the vehicle in a flat and safe
place when engaging or disengaging
the towed trailer or loaded cargo.
•
Towing a trailer or loading cargo will
reduce the driving range.
Rescue
Vehicle Fire
If the vehicle catches fire, follow the steps
below:
•
Power the vehicle off.
•
Locate a dry powder fire extinguisher
nearby.
•
If the fire is small and is spreading
slowly, put out the fire with a dry powder
fire extinguisher and call the police and
rescue services as soon as possible.
•
If the fire is large and spreading fast,
keep a safe distance from the vehicle
and call the police and rescue services
as soon as possible.
WARNING!
•
After the fire is put out, contact a BYD
authorised dealer or service provider
for further handling. Do not touch the
vehicle after a fire to prevent accidents
such as electric shock and burns.
•

of fire extinguishers. Attempting to
extinguish a fire with water or other
fire extinguishers may cause electric
shock.
