4. Adjust the position of the three-point
seat belt.
•
Pull the shoulder strap so that it runs
diagonally across the shoulder. Do
not allow the shoulder portion across
the neck or slip the shoulder off the
belt strap.
•
Wear the lap portion of the seat belt
as low as possible across the hips.
WARNING!
•
Each seat belt must be used by one
occupant only. Never share a seat belt
with anyone.
• If the lap portion is too high or too
loose, it may cause serious or even
lift-threatening personal injury to
drivers or occupants, for it may slip off
in the event of an accident.
Unbuckling Seat Belts
1. Hold the seat belt and press the buckle
red button. The tongue will pop up
automatically.
2. Slowly return the seat belt to the
retractor.
WARNING!
• Do not unbuckle the seat belt
while driving or before coming to
a complete stop, so as to avoid
personal injury in the event of an
accident.
CAUTION!
•
Be sure to smoothly retract the seat
belt. If it cannot retract smoothly, it
may be necessary to pull out the belt
webbing to check for distortion or
twisting.
Wearing Seat Belts When
Pregnant
Women who are pregnant must pay
attention not only to their own lives, but
to that of their child. Therefore, pregnant
women must be sure to properly wear
their seat belt while driving or riding as a
passenger.
