WARNING!
•
ICC serves as a driving assist system
rather than an autonomous driving
system. Drivers must therefore always
keep the vehicle under control and
never remove their hands from the
steering wheel for extended periods.
Doing so may force the driver to take
over and ICC to be disabled.
•
ICC system performance may be
compromised due to weather,
lighting, visibility of lane markings,
etc.
•
Precautions must be taken when
using ACC and LKS.
Adaptive Cruise Control
(ACC)
Based on conventional cruise control,
adaptive cruise control (ACC) is designed
to actively control the vehicle speed. This
is done via radar sensors which detect the
vehicle's distance and speed relative to
the vehicle ahead for auto follow-up while
cruising. ACC can automatically switch
between fixed speed cruise and follow-
up cruise depending on whether there is a
vehicle ahead.
Turning ACC On
Press the ACC button
on the steering
wheel to turn ACC on. When the function is
enabled, ACC indicator
(white) on the
instrument cluster will light up.
Activating ACC
With ACC turned on:
•
If a cruise speed has been set, push the
left lever on the steering wheel up to
resume the speed that was previously
set the last time exiting ACC.
•
If no cruise speed has been set, pull the
left lever on the steering wheel down
to set the current speed as the cruise
speed. Cruise speed can be set between
30-150 km/h. If the current speed is not
within this range, ACC will automatically
set the cruise speed to either 30 km/h
or 150 km/h depending on the current
speed.
After ACC is activated, the vehicle will move
at the fixed cruise speed and automatically
control the distance from the target vehicle
ahead.
ACC can be activated if:
•
EPB is released;
•
The vehicle is in Drive;
•
All doors are closed;
•
The driver seat belt is fastened;
•
ESC is turned on but not activated;
