Understanding the
Keys
This vehicle features three different types of
key:
•
Remote control key
•
Mechanical key
•
NFC key card*
Remote Control Key
Two remote control keys are provided with
the vehicle. This key includes a mechanical
key and a number plate.

Key number plate
The remote control key locks/unlocks the
vehicle, opens/closes the boot lid and
remotely powers on/off the vehicle.
The mechanical key is fitted inside the
remote control key and can be used to lock/
unlock the vehicle in case of emergency.
The key number plate is used to order
spare mechanical keys.
WARNING!
•
Make sure to lock the vehicle and
carry the key with you when leaving.
•
Do not leave anyone unattended
inside the vehicle (especially
children), as this may result in adverse
incidents.
CAUTION!
•
Keep the remote control key away
from extended exposure to high or
low temperatures as it is an electronic
component. Such exposure may
adversely affect its functionality.
•
Keep the remote control key away
from metal or magnetic materials to
prevent its functionality from being
affected.
•
Protect the remote control key from
falling or strong impact to prevent
damage to its internal structure.
•
Do not disassemble the remote
control key without authorisation, as
this may damage it.
•
Keep the vehicle keys safe. If the
remote control key is lost, contact
a BYD authorised dealer or service
provider as soon as possible to
prevent theft.
•
Do not change the key's transmission
frequency, increase its transmission
power (such as adding frequency
amplifiers), add an external antenna
or replace the antenna without prior
authorisation.
•
Avoid harmful interference with legal
radio communication services while
using the remote control key. Once
any interference is identified, stop
using the key immediately.
