Unlocking the Boot in an 

Emergency

Whenever the doors and the boot fail 

to open from the inside in case of an 

emergency, the boot can be unlocked as 

follows:
1. Fold the backrest of the second or third 

row seat (if any) to access the boot.

2. Open the boot toolkit cover and take it 

out.

3. Pull the emergency handle and push the 

boot lid outwards.

Unlocking the Charging Port in 

an Emergency

If the charging port lock fails and the 

charging connector cannot be pulled out, 

follow the steps below:
1. Open the boot.

2.  Forcefully pull the right armrest cover out.

3. Pull the emergency unlocking rope to 

unlock.

Power Boot Failure

If there has been a malfunction or failure in 

the power boot lid, fully closing the boot lid 

manually can restore its functionality. If the 

problem persists, contact a BYD authorised 

dealer or service provider.

Awakening Dormant 

12V Battery (Starter Fe 

Battery)

When the vehicle is parked for an extended 

period of time, the 12V battery (starter Fe 

battery) may enter dormant mode. In this 

mode, the remote control key cannot be
