DRIVING
CAUTION!
•
PEBS intervenes only when all doors
are closed and the seat belts are
fastened. The following conditions
will prevent PEBS from activating:
»
A door is left open or is ajar while
the vehicle is in motion;
»
A seat belt is not fastened or is
unbuckled while the vehicle is in
motion;
»
The driver presses the brake pedal
deeply;
»
The driver slams on the accelerator
pedal;
»
The driver frequently presses the
accelerator pedal and brake pedal
alternatively while driving.
•
PEBS may not always achieve optimal
performance if:
»
The front bumper is strongly
impacted due to an accident or
other reasons;
»
Tyres are not properly inflated or
excessively worn;
»
Non-conforming tyres are
installed;
»
Anti-skid tyre chains are installed;
»
A small spare tyre or emergency
tyre repair tool is being used.
•
Contact a BYD authorised dealer or
service provider to calibrate the radar
sensors if:
»
Radar sensors have been removed;
»
Four wheels have been re-aligned
due to wheel deviation;
»
A collision happens;
»
The PEBS performance degrades
or the instrument cluster indicates
a system abnormality.
Safety Assist
Integrated Power Brake
(IPB)
Integrated power brake (IPB) provides
power assistance for vehicle braking as
required according to the driver's braking
demand. It can also provide advanced
control functions such as ABS, EBD,
TCS, VDC, CST, and CRBS to improve
vehicle stability and comfort, as well as
regenerative braking efficiency.
Anti-lock Brake System (ABS)
1
Without ABS
2
With ABS
ABS helps prevent wheel locking or slipping
in emergency braking or when the vehicle is
being driven on wet and slippery roads, so as
to maintain steering control.
