•
The ACC deactivation button
on the
steering wheel is pressed;
•
The vehicle speeds up to more than 150
km/h.
Turning ACC Off
To completely turn ACC off, press the ACC
button
when ACC is on.
WARNING!
•
ACC is a system strictly meant to
enhance comfort, rather than a safety
system, nor an obstacle detector or
collision warning system.
•
ACC is meant to assist the driver,
not replace them. The driver must
maintain control of the vehicle at all
times according to traffic rules and
must also be fully responsible for the
vehicle.
•
The driver must adjust the distance
with any vehicles ahead and
reasonably set ACC depending on the
traffic flow ahead as well as current
weather conditions (e.g. rain, fog,
etc.). After ACC is reasonably set, the
driver must make sure that the vehicle
can be decelerated to a stop at any
time.
•
ACC is suitable for use on expressways
and roads in good conditions, but not
for use on complex urban roads or
mountain roads.
•
If the driver presses the accelerator
pedal or brake pedal while ACC is
running, the vehicle will be taken over
by the driver. However, the distance
control function of ACC will not be
activated.
•
ACC cannot be activated if ESC is not
on.
WARNING!
•
ACC responds only in special
circumstances to stationary or slow
moving objects (e.g. bicycles or
pedestrians, etc.).
•
ACC cannot recognise pedestrians
and oncoming vehicles.
•
ACC allows limited braking only and
cannot carry out emergency braking.
•
If a vehicle ahead brakes suddenly
(emergency stop), ACC may fail to
react or be slow in reacting, resulting
in late braking. In this event, the driver
will not receive a take-over request.
•
When the vehicle goes into or out
of a curve, target selection may be
delayed or disturbed. In this event,
the vehicle may not brake as expected
or brake too late.
•
In some cases (for example when
a vehicle ahead is running slowly
relative to the vehicle, changing
lanes too suddenly, or keeping an
excessively short safety distance
distance), ACC will not have enough
time to reduce the relative speed. In
such events, the driver must react
appropriately. ACC cannot provide
an audio or visual alarm under such
circumstances.
•
On sharp curves (e.g. winding roads),
due to limitations in the view of
the vehicle sensors, information of
a vehicle ahead may be lost for a
few seconds, causing the vehicle to
accelerate with ACC.
•
If the vehicle runs too close to an
adjacent lane or another vehicle on
an adjacent lane runs too close to the
lane on which the vehicle is running,
ACC may apply braking in response to
the corresponding vehicle.
