Caution
Be careful with hot oil, which could cause
burns if it contacts your skin.
Remove the used oil filter.

Apply engine oil lightly to the gasket of a
new oil filter, then screw in the oil filter by
hand until the gasket touches the adapter.
Use a wrench to further screw in the oil filter
by a one-half or three-quarter rotation.
Check the oil level 10 to 20 minutes after
changing the oil filter.
If the oil level is insufficient, add engine oil
until the oil reaches a level in between the
upper and lower limit lines on the oil level
gauge.
