Rat e ( pps) Specify t he m ax im um rat e ( 1- 2048 packet s per second) at w hich t he Sw it ch
receives ARP packet s fr om each por t . The Sw it ch discar ds any addit ional ARP
packet s. Ent er 0 t o disable t his lim it .
Bur st int er val
( seconds) The bur st int er val is t he lengt h of t im e over w hich t he rat e of ARP packet s is
m onit or ed for each por t . For ex am ple, if t he rat e is 15 pps and t he bur st int er val is
1 second, t hen t he Sw it ch accept s a m axim um of 15 ARP packet s in every one-
second int er val. I f t he burst int er val is 5 seconds, t hen t he Sw it ch accept s a
m axim um of 75 ARP packet s in ever y five- second int er val.
Ent er t he lengt h ( 1- 15 seconds) of t he bur st int er val.
Apply Click App ly t o save your changes t o t he Sw it ch’s r un- t im e m em or y. The Sw it ch
loses t hese changes if it is t ur ned off or loses pow er, so use t he Sa ve link on t he
t op navigat ion panel t o save your changes t o t he non- volat ile m em ory w hen you
ar e done configur ing.
Cancel Click t his t o reset t he values in t his scr een t o t heir last - saved values.
