To prevent ground loops, the shield connection is not hard wired to the chassis.
The shield is terminated in the ProAct P-Series FL actuator through a high-
frequency capacitor. The shield must be connected to the earth ground in the
wiring harness to improve EMC performance. See Figure 2-4.
A pair of 120
Ω
resistors must be used as differential termination on each of the
two furthest apart ends of the CAN network. The ProAct P-Series FL does not
have any built-in termination.
