Chapter 2 Installation

Installing the AutoSetPAC Panel Mount

If you have received a panel-mount version of AutoSetPAC, perform the following steps to install the

panel mount in your enclosure. The panel mount is usually installed from outside the enclosure. Be

sure to allow at least 4” (101.6 mm) of clearance behind the panel mounting plane for the wiring

connections.
1.

Determine a convenient location within your enclosure to mount the AutoSetPAC. Ideally,

AutoSetPAC should be mounted close to the SmartPAC where operators and setup personnel can

easily see the readouts and reach the keyboard.

NOTICE

MOUNT AUTOSETPACPAC AT A CONVENIENT HEIGHT

AutoSetPAC should be installed at a height convenient for all users. Experiment with placement

to determine a good height for all personnel before wiring and mounting the unit.

Cut out a hole in your enclosure, referring to Figure 2-3 for cutout dimensions. Drill and tap

fourteen holes for 1/4-20 screws.
