Responding to AutoSetPAC Faults

When a setpoint is exceeded or there is an offset error on one or more strain links, AutoSetPAC opens

the output relay and stops the press, simultaneously displaying a fault message on top of the

SmartPAC Main Run Menu (see Figure 6-1, in which a high setpoint fault message is used as an

example).

The fault message provides the following information:

•

Type of setpoint fault (i.e., high, low, etc.)

•

Strain link input (both input number and name are shown) on which the fault occurred

•

Setpoint value that was exceeded

Tonnage value that generated the fault
