Chapter 2 Installation

Mounting the AutoSetPAC Enclosure with AutoSet 2-Channel/4-

Channel Display

To mount the AutoSetPAC enclosure with an AutoSet 2-Channel or 4-Channel display, follow these

steps:
1.

Determine a convenient mounting location, considering the following factors:

•

The enclosure should be mounted as close as possible to the press control so that operators

and setup personnel can easily see the readouts

•

Strain link cables must be capable of reaching the mounting site

•

The mounting location must allow enough room for the door to open at least 120°

•

The enclosure can be mounted to the press or on a free-standing pedestal

Drill holes for mounting, referring to Figure 2-1. (AutoSet 2-Channel and standard AutoSetPAC

enclosures have identical dimensions) and Figure 2-2. Tap holes and mount the enclosure, using

the enclosed shock mounts. Shock mount studs are 1/4–20. Use a No. 7 drill and 1/4–20 tap.
