9.4.5 Injector Assembly
Verify the following items on the magazine injector assembly:
1) Examine cylinder for wear or damage.
2) Examine linear guide rods for wear or damage.
3) Examine shock absorbers and mechanical stops for function and proper position.
4) Verify that the shut-off valves for the magazine belt drives, which are located on the
injector back up plate, are operational.
Check the ‘S’ box for Satisfactory Performance and ‘US’ box for Unsatisfactory Performance.

9.4.6 Mast Assembly
Verify the following items on the mast assembly:
1) Verify that the mast base gibs are correctly adjusted and show no signs of excessive
wear.
2) Make sure all collar locking handles are in place.
3) Inspect separator cylinder and mast cylinder for damage or leaks.
4) Check jaws-closed shock absorber for proper function and position.
5) Inspect separator guide bushing and rod for wear or damage.
6) Inspect separator blade for wear or damage.
7) Inspect track and guide wheels for wear and proper adjustment.
Check the ‘S’ box for Satisfactory Performance and ‘US’ box for Unsatisfactory Performance.
