38) Pneumatic Valve Bank
The Pneumatic Valve Bank controls the movements of the machine by converting electrical
signals from the PLC into airflow to the pneumatic cylinders that control machine movements.
39) Programmable Logic Controller
The Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is used to control the machine's operating sequence.
40) Remote Demand Sensor
The Remote Demand Sensor is an optional infrared sensor, mounted on a downstream conveyor,
that detects cases, and thereby avoid jams by interrupting machine output.
41) Shock Absorber
Adjustable Shock Absorbers are used to cushion mechanical impacts at various machine
locations.
42) Sliding Frame
The Sliding Frame assembly slides over the main frame and changes position during adjustment
to fit the length of the case being processed.
43) Sliding Guard Doors
The Sliding Guard Doors provide easy access to the forming head and other assemblies. The
machine stops immediately when any door is opened during operation.
44) Solenoid Valve
The electrically operated solenoid valves control the flow of compressed air. The main ON / OFF
valve controls all compressed air delivery. Other valves control cylinder movements.
45) Stabilizer Bar
Stabilizer Bars are a curved bars that are installed on the minor jawplate in order to support the
outer corner of the case during its descent into the major flap folders.
46) Tape Applicator (or Tape Head)
The Tape Applicator assembly applies pressure-sensitive adhesive tape on the bottom flaps of
the formed case in order to seal them.
