Table 53: Both forming head and jaw too slow

Problem

Adjust the regulator’s set point.
Mast cylinder: 70 PSI.
Jaw cylinder: 70 PSI.

Regulator set point too

Other actuators: 90 PSI.

Insufficient air
compressor capacity

Increase the capacity of the air
compressor.

Supply air pressure set
too low

The supply air pressure regulator

should be set to 110 PSI (7.6 bar).
Depending on the length and the
inside diameter of the hose between
the machine and the regulator, the
pressure may have to be adjusted.
The maximum supply air pressure
should be 150 PSI.

hose between the supply regulator
and the machine is ¾” (for flexible
hoses) or 1” (for steel tubes).
