9.5 Pneumatic System Maintenance
9.5.1 Pneumatic Supply Adjustments
Little adjustment is necessary. The black knob on the top of each regulator unit adjusts the
pneumatic supply pressure. The main regulator should be set to give a pressure of 90 PSI. If the
main supply pressure regularly drops by 15 PSI while running, a larger supply air-line may be
required.
Maintenance
•
Drain the mist separator bowl frequently.
•
As the mist separator becomes contaminated, the pressure drop across the filter will
increase. Replace the element when the pressure drop reaches 15 PSI, or once per year,
whichever comes first.
•
The rate at which the filter element is contaminated will be greatly affected by the quality
of the incoming air. If the air is wet or contaminated, the filter element will need more
frequent replacement.
9.5.2 Valve Bank
Verify the following item on the valve bank:
1) Check valves for leaks and mechanical damage.
Check the ‘S’ box for Satisfactory Performance and ‘US’ box for Unsatisfactory Performance.

1) Check water trap for function and filter condition.
