2.6.2 Electrical Power
Before attempting any electrical connections, check the machine’s set-up voltage. This is listed
on a label on the inside of the access panel of the electrical enclosure. The standard WEXXAR
voltage is 230V 60Hz single-phase, but alternate voltages are accommodated to meet specific
customer requests.
Electrical power is required to be connected to the designated high voltage terminals on the top of
the main electrical disconnect in the top area of the control panel. The machine must also be
properly grounded. All wiring must comply with applicable local codes. For a copy of the
machine’s wiring diagram, refer to the drawings attached to this manual.
When electrical power has been connected and all access doors are closed, switch the main
disconnect switch
ON
.
Check that the
‘EMERGENCY STOP’
button is in the
OFF
position. Press the
‘RESET’
button on
the control panel. Ensure that the touchscreen is displaying the
‘Main Control’
screen, and
press the
‘START’
button. The case blank motor and the drive motor should both be
ON
.
If desired, install the remote demand sensor at a suitable
location on the discharge conveyor, positioned to reliably
sense the case. The sensor must be plugged into the
control cabinet with the cable supplied (approximately 20
ft. long), and proper operation of the sensor will be
indicated by the illumination of the red LED light on the
rear of the sensor.
Allow the machine to run for ten minutes to ensure that
the factory preset motor overloads do not trip. Minor
adjustments to these components may be necessary to
compensate for voltage variations.
This completes the installation of the machine.
