5.5.1.3 Wedge mechanism mounting

. When mounting a wedge mechanism, stick to the follow-

ing rule: the free end of the cleat wedge 1 (Fig. 71) is to be located inside the housing strictly along axis A with-
out warps. The warp can cause the installed wedge damage.

When assembling the unit, observe the following strictly: insert the wedge 1 into the housing in the

direction indicated with an arrow. In doing so rollers 3 should face the pistons 2.

Installation verification: push the wedge by hand and try to rotate it. If the wedge goes down, it means

that rollers fail to be placed between pistons correctly.

During wedge mechanism mounting, check that cleat wedge assy preserves the correct position.
