Caution! Effort applied to the steering wheel at all stages of the adjustment shall be
100N (10kgf) maximum. It is not recommended to hold the steering wheel at the extreme position
more than 5 sec.
Do the following for the left and for the right steerable wheel:
- at wheel turn limiting stops contact, obtain the pressure drop down to 75-85 kgf/cm
2
by
alternate turning the screws B1 and B2 in, as shown in Figure I.8.

Take into account that it is necessary to turn the adjusting screws in if the pressure drop
is insufficient and to turn the adjusting screws out if the pressure drop is excessive during the ad-
justment.
Caution! Screw the adjusting screws with the rotary valve in its neutral position (re-
leased steering wheel) and engine running idle.
Set all removed plugs in place upon finishing the work.
I.1.3 Brake systems
I.1.3.1 Service brake system consists of brake, air-hydraulic control system, air prepara-
tion system.
The service brake system is intended for the truck deceleration and stop. The brake drive
is mixed (air-hydraulic), two-circuit or three-circuit, with the split braking.
