changed by button rotation. New value of blinking figure is confirmed by button short pressing af-
ter which the next figure starts blinking.
Access password is under sealing cap at the device rear part.
If the password is entered correctly short pressing will change the indicator to the fifth
mode, in case the password was incorrect, the indicator mode changes to the first one by short
pressing.
The fifth mode:
- button rotation in any direction changes indicator for
the seventh mode
for counting
number of pulses from transducer;
- button long pressing (until the coefficient first left figure starts blinking) causes change
for
the sixth mode
for new calibration coefficient entering;
- button short pressing switches indicator to
the first mode
and activates updated calibra-
tion coefficient.
The sixth mode allows to enter new calibration coefficient (number of pulses from trans-
ducer per a kilometer of run).
Blinking figure value is changed by button rotation and confirmed by button short press-
ing after which the next figure starts blinking, etc. When the calibration coefficient last fifth figure
is entered the indicator is changed to the fifth mode by button short pressing. Indicator will show
1100 value (if the coefficient less than 1100 is set) or 25000 value (if the coefficient more than
25000 is set).
The seventh mode is presented by six blinking zeros in the upper line. If the truck runs
for example 100 meters with this mode active and stops than upper line will show the number of
the incoming pulses. Multiply this number by ten; the result is a calibration coefficient (quantity
of pulses from transducer per a kilometer of run). Do several countings of pulse quantity and cal-
culate the coefficient arithmetic mean to get more precise result.
Any further button manipulation results in the change for
the fifth mode
.
5.6.2. Generator
Adjust the generator belts tension in accordance with Engine Operation Manual.
5.6.3. Storage batteries
The storage batteries are designed to start the engine with the help of starter and operate
in combination with the generator at maximum loads.
The truck is equipped with storage batteries filled in with electrolyte. At special request
there can be installed dry-charged storage batteries capable to keep the initial charge within a year
from the date of their manufacture
5.6.3.1 Storage battery fastening
. Storage batteries 1 (Fig. 107) are placed in container
10 on two side supports and an intermediate support. Upon their installing into the container, the
batteries are fastened by two upper clamps 13 and front stop 4. Upper clamps 13 are fixed by front
9 and rear 12 wedge stops. Front wedge stops 9 are adjustable and secured on container cover 6 by
bolts 8. Rear stop 12 is welded to the top rear part of container 10. The top rear part of container
10 has welded-on guides 11 for correct setting of clamp 13 relative to stops 9 and 12.
