5.7.1.1 Cab doors shown in Figure 116 are equipped with locks to close the cab doors

and with window lifters. The cab door is locked from the outside by a key and from the inside by
a door lock knob.

During the truck travelling, the doors should be closed tight.
If the door rubbers are damaged, glue them up using 88

glue having dressed the ad-

herent surfaces with an abrasive cloth and wiped with clean cotton cloth moistened in gasoline.

The door windows are equipped with drop-sided and swivel window glasses. The door

glasses are lifted and lowered down with the help of lifting gears. The glasses should move in the
guides freely, without seizing.

Lubricate all the friction surfaces of lock parts, hinges, fasteners and spring pins with the

-24 grease or solid oil, when disassembling.

5.7.1.2 Windshield wiper and windshield washer. The cab is equipped with a wind-

shield  wiper  and  windshield  washer.  The  two-speed  windshield  wiper  consists  of  electric  drive,
two  rods,  wiper  blade  levers  and  two  wiper  blades.  The  windshield  wiper  is  turned  ON  by  a
switch located on the steering column. When the wiper is switched off, the wiper blades are auto-
matically put along the lower edge of glass.

The windshield washer tank with a pump and a motor is mounted on the l.h. side panel

of the front end. The washer tank capacity is 2 l. The washing fluid is supplied to the glass via
hoses through two spraying nozzles.

The washing fluid supply is controlled by the windshield washer switch located on the

steering column.

At the ambient temperature over +5°C filtered water is used to fill the washer tank in. At

the ambient temperatures from +5°C down to –40°C it is recommended to use solution of distilled
water and sulphanol solution in isopropyl spirit (

-4 fluid), Specifications 38.10230-76, in

the proportions specified in Table 11.
