3-74     ENGINE

• After the crankshaft journal bolts and crankcase bolts have

been tightened, check if the crankshaft rotates smoothly.

• Also check that the driveshaft and countershaft rotate

smoothly.

OIL PRESSURE REGULATOR

• Fit a new gasket washer 

1

 to the oil pressure regulator 

2

.

• Apply thread lock to the oil pressure regulator and tighten it to

the specified torque.

99000-32110: THREAD LOCK CEMENT SUPER “1322”

or equivalent

Oil pressure regulator: 28 N·m (2.8 kgf-m, 20.0 lbf-ft)

OIL STRAINER

• Apply grease to the new O-ring

• Install the oil strainer
