• Apply engine oil to the inside and outside surface of the

spacer

• Install the spacer

onto the countershaft.

NOTE:
The chamfer side

of spacer

crankcase inside.

• Install the primary driven gear assembly

onto the

countershaft.

NOTE:
* Be sure to engage the oil pump drive sprocket with the primary

driven gear sprocket.

* When engaging the primary drive gear and primary driven

gears

, turn the primary driven gear assembly

to the

counterclockwise.

• Install the thrust washer

• Install the clutch sleeve hub

onto the countershaft.

• Install the new lock washer
