ENGINE AND EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM (H25 ENGINE) 6E2-37

INSPECTION

Immerse temperature sensing part of IAT sensor in water (or ice)
and measure resistance between sensor terminals while heating
water gradually.
If measured resistance doesn’t show such characteristic as
shown in figure, replace IAT sensor.

INSTALLATION

1) Clean mating surface of sensor and seal on air cleaner case.

2) Install IAT sensor (1) into seal (2).
3) Connect connector to IAT sensor securely.
4) Connect negative cable to battery.

Throttle position sensor (TP sensor)

INSPECTION

1) Warm up engine and stop it when its temperature has

reached normal operating temperature (Check to make sure
that they have some clearance between fast idle cam and
cam follow lever.).

2) Disconnect negative cable at battery and coupler from TP

sensor.
