4. Set the IP address, Subnet, and Gateway.
a.
Press
>
again to select the
Addr
tab and press
O
to
select the IP address.
b. For each number in the IP address, use
>
and
<
to
move to select the number in the IP address that
you want to change, then press
O
to select the
number. A red box surrounds the selected number.
c.
Press
O
to change the value of the selected
number. The numbers only increment upwards
and to the maximum value allowed for the IP
segment. (All IP segments consist of three
numbers.)
d. After you change the numerical values as required, use the
>
button to move to
the

, then press
O
to apply your change and return to the bottom set of tabs.
To cancel the change, use
<
to move to the
X
, then press
O
to return to the
bottom set of tabs.
e. Repeat Steps

through
d
to change the values for the Subnet (through the Sub
tab) and Gateway (through the GW tab).
Note:
Enter 0.0.0.0 if your network does not use a gateway.

to apply your changes. To cancel

If necessary, add the nTier700 VTL to the domain for the network to which it is
connected. Contact your network administrator for assistance, if needed.
Use the VTL Console
You can use the VTL Console to set the IP addresses for all of the nTier700 VTL
Ethernet ports. Read the
Implementing nTier Deduplication guide for detailed
information about installing the VTL Console on a Windows-based computer on the
same network as the nTier700 VTL.
