Re-analysis of plates after QIAcuity Software Suite version upgrade
After upgrading the QIAcuity Software Suite (see Installation Procedure and Upgrading QIAcuity
Software Suite to new version), the status of all plates will be changed to Read-only unless the plates
are upgraded to the new software version. The same applies to plates that are imported from a
previous Software Suite version.
To upgrade a plate, go to the plate tile in the plates overview and select the upgrade button .
Alternatively, click the plate name in the tile to enter the plate configurator view; then, click Upgrade
in the context menu.
During the plate upgrade, a new Plate will be created as a copy of the old Plate and an animation
is shown, indicating the upgrade process. During the upgrade, both plates are blocked and cannot
be accessed and changed to avoid inconsistent data or loss of data.
If the Plate has upgraded successfully, two plates will be displayed. The grey marked one with an
arrow is the old plate, which includes the previous performed analysis. By clicking on the arrow,
the user is automatically re-directed to the upgraded plate, which has the original Plate name
attached with “-Upgraded”. This upgraded plate was re-analyzed by the upgraded QIAcuity
Software Suite version.
