Smart grid
Setting the bivalent point
»
Open the menu.
»
Select “Auxiliary heater”.
»
Select “Settings”.
»
Make the required settings.
»
Return to the main screen.
16. Smart grid
Via the smart grid function, the power consumption of the
heat pump can be deliberately increased if required. This
is useful for example in systems with a photovoltaic system
or special smart grid energy tariffs.
16.1 Smart grid operating status
If smart grid is used, the system switches back and forth
between different operating states.
Operating status
Description
Passive
There is no smart grid demand.
Priority mode
There is a smart grid demand. The appliance
is in priority mode.
Electricity tariff
shutdown
The system switches off, although there is a
smart grid demand. The electricity tariff shut-
down has priority.
Forced draw-off
There is a smart grid demand. The appliance
is in forced draw-off mode.
16.1.1 Viewing the operating status
»
Open the menu.
»
Select “Status”.
16.2
Configurations
The OTS controller offers several Smart Grid configuration
options that have to be set during commissioning.

16.3 Smart grid in the heating circuit
16.3.1 Priority mode
In “Priority mode”, the set target room temperature is in-
creased/reduced by a defined value in heating and cooling
mode.
1 Target room temperature heating
2 Target room temperature increase
3 Smart grid in priority mode
4 Target room temperature cooling
5 Target room temperature decrease
6 Target room temperature
Note
The associated parameters can only be set in ex-
pert mode.
16.3.2
Forced draw-off
The forced draw-off has no impact on the living spaces.
16.4 Smart grid in DHW mode
16.4.1 Priority mode
In priority DHW mode, DHW is regulated to an increased
target temperature.
