Network Time Protocol (NTP)

Under this menu item, you can synchronize the system time with times provid-
ed by NTP servers in the connected network.
You can enter a maximum of 16 NTP servers. The switch can be used as a
time server.
You can also take the time from the PC.
NOTE
All times are given in Universal Time Zone (UTC).
Please note that the actual time may be different depending on where the
switch is used.

Synchronize times
NOTE
The switch does not perform name resolution (DNS).
Make sure that you enter the address as a numerical IP address without
any leading spaces, etc.
You can enter a maximum of 16 NTP servers.
Object
Description
NTP server
The field for entering the IP address of the NTP server.
Use
+
to add the NTP server.
System time
The current system time and date.
The switch always uses UTC.
This means that only the UTC component is transferred
when taking the time from a PC set to the correct time zone.
The switch is able to configure a time zone.

Leap second synchronization status
Source
Provides the source for the system time
Event
The last event reported by the NTP client
