Chapter 2 Outline explanation

Outline Explanation

ML Tiger-1800B MK III is an inkjet printer for textile.
This machine is used for printing images and patterns on various fabrics or transfer paper (hereafter “media”).
Print quality is guaranteed by the belt carrying the media, the pressure rollers adhering the media to the belt, and the belt
cleaning unit removing the excess ink adhered to the belt.
This machine functions in automatic mode, and operator's work is required in the following cases.
To operate this machine, in addition to the main unit (printer section), the feed unit and the take-up unit suitable for your
application are required.

• Media set
• Media feed
• The removal of the tank when changing water, maintenance and replacement of brushes and squeegee blades
• Applying adhesive to the belt
• Unload the printed roll

The machine consists of the following units:

• Main unit

• Main belt
• Pressure roller
• Heater
• Belt cleaning unit
• Ink feeding unit

• Option

• Take-up unit
• Feeding unit

Description of Machine Units

The main units will be explained below.

Feeding Unit

The feeding unit is arranged on the back side of the main unit. This unit is directly connected to the frame of the printer.
This unit has an air shaft for inserting the paper tube of the media roll. This air shaft has a compressed air intake port (see
the figure below), tightly contact with the inside of the paper core by compressed air, and fix the media roll.
There is a pneumatic clutch on the right side of the machine so that delivery is done normally without loosening of the
media. This allows the air pressure to be regulated via the regulator and to increase or decrease the braking force applied
to the air shaft.
This unit has two idle rollers for feeding.
