General Location Considerations

You can place the Visionscape

GigE cameras in most environments

without any concern for special enclosures or cabinets. Consider the
following when locating the cameras and their associated components:

•

Ensure that the camera, strobe, and any other cables are long
enough to reach your PC.

•

The Ethernet cable can be affected by interference from an electrical
transformer or heavy machinery. In these circumstances make sure
the cable is properly shielded.

•

Avoid severe vibrations.

•

Locate the components to avoid accidental bumping.

•

Protect your PC and components against dust, humidity, extreme
temperatures, and extremely harsh environments.

•

Protect the viewing area from excess ambient light.
