6 — Procedures for Testing with the ADX Analyzer

ADX Login Screen

After you turn the ADX on, a short video runs while the software loads and initializes. When the start-up process
completes, the ADX application automatically starts at the Login screen.

The Login screen is the access point for all users to the ADX software application.

Select the proper user type then enter the corresponding password. Some user types (for example, default Technician
user) do not require passwords.

Consult your system administrator or Megger Baker Instruments technical support to address user, role, or password
issues.

A “Lead Technician” user with a broad range of permissions is provided in the user list; default password is “BAKER”.

A “Technician” user is also provided in the user list. No password is assigned to this user, but this user has minimal
access and permissions (cannot create or edit assets and test configurations).

A “Customer Admin” user with full permissions is also provided. A unique password assigned by Megger is required.
Contact Megger Baker Instruments Support (see back page) to obtain your password if you do not already have it.

At the bottom left of the login screen is the SOFTWARE INFO button. Touching this button opens a dialog box that
provides current software version information. Another button in the dialog box tells the application to go online and
check for an updated version of the software.

At the bottom right is the Cloud Connection icon. You can check the cloud connection by touching this icon.

Otherwise, log into the system using the credentials for the user of your choice.

When the tester is not required, use the EXIT button to close the ADX software prior to shutting down the ADX.

Pressing the EXIT button also provides access to the Android operating system where you can make changes to
language, date, time, and other system settings.

Users can conclude testing sessions at shift turnover, but they do not need to exit out of this screen. The can log out of
the testing screen and a new user can log in here to begin a new session.
