11. When the test completes, touch the STOP button to end the test. The LEADS ENERGIZED light above the START/

STOP button turn off. A message appears, notifying you that the asset is being discharged. When the message
disappears, the leads energized LEDs on the front panel will turn off.

12. Touch the Save icon in the bar at top right to save your results then touch the EXIT icon to leave the DC Test screen.

WARNING: To ensure the safety of all personnel, refer to “Ensure Proper Grounding
and Discharge after Conducting DC Tests” in chapter 1, “General Operating and Safety
Information” for guidance on properly discharging and grounding the asset (DUT).

If you plan to continue with Surge testing, no grounding is needed at this time, but do not touch test leads before
testing is properly executed and completed. Grounding should be conducted as needed after completion of all tests.

Alternatives for Starting Manual DC Testing

1. Press and hold PTT button (top left of ADX front panel—1 below) to activate DC test then turn the Voltage Output

Ramp switch (top right of the ADX front panel—3 below) clockwise to increase the voltage to the target level.

NOTE: If you have a footswitch connected to the ADX, it provides an alternative to using the PTT button
to start and stop the test.

2. Run test then release PTT / footswitch to stop test.

3. Press the Start button (2 below) at any time if you want to lock the PTT function then continue ramping voltage

using the Voltage Output Ramp switch. At this point, the PTT button / footswitch become inactive.

4. Press Stop when the test completes.
